Waterflow

Run off 2014.

This Installation was made from my fascination with the way rivers attract and also divide us. I wanted to bring that dichotomous quality into a gallery space. To do this I used thousands of cut steel ellipse welded together to mimic the surface area of a flowing river. I used river rocks from a portion of the Animas River Vally north of Durango where the river had shifted and left the bead exposed. This piece was apart of the ‘Pivot Point’ show at The Durango Arts Center in 2014.
